Recoverable proved reserves

The term 'Recoverable proved reserves' as it applies to the area of energy can be defined as ' The proved reserves of natural gas as of December 31 of any given year are the estimated quantities of natural gas which geological and engineering data demonstrates with reasonable certainty to be recoverable in the future from known natural oil and gas reservoirs under existing economic and operating conditions'.
